I want to create a numbered list, but I'd like them to:
So, for example, I would like the spacing to work like this -- and, well, i managed to customize the fonts on the numbers a bit, so that's better than nothing (this is the ideal):
1. This is my first bullet number. This is cool
Then here is some stuff
And more stuff....
And finally this.
2. Now this is my second one......
This is how this looks......
This is a bugbear of mine, too @shmooth. I tend to use bulleted lists.
They look like this:
I prefer spacing them out by putting a par break between them. Not correct HMTL obviously but it looks better:
Unfortunately you can't cheat and do that with numbers. You would just have to type them manually.
1. Number one
2. Number two
3. Number three.
So no suggestions from me unfortunately, other than I wish Lithium would address it!
One solution although not perfect is what we did however following a recent deployment we broke it but i hope to fix soon. Essentially using CSS you could use an icon font for your numbered lists and define their size and spacing/padding from the text.
That way they look much larger, i dont know how but i think you could also make the number bigger using CSS but i dont know exactly how, i have a bearded wizard that does that stuff for me...
To add to @JasonHill's formatting tricks: You can actually add vertical space to numbered lists as well:
Now to the original question: Do you want to change all of the the numbered lists across your community? Or just change one that is used in a blog, post or article? The first would require updating your community style, the second would use some creative new line formatting as above. Unfortunately the styling and sizing of numbers for each item can't be changed that way. It might indeed be easier to create the numbers as graphics and insert them as images.
