You are responsible for your own ground transportation to and from the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, where LiNC '16 will be held.    Upon arriving into the Bay Area, taxis are readily available for transportation both at San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and Oakland Airport (OAK). Taxi rides are approximately 45 USD + tip one-way from SFO and roughly 60 USD + tip one-way from OAK. Note that costs can be considerably higher if you are traveling during morning and evening commutes.   Shuttle services (such as, Airport Express -  www.airportexpresssf.com ) are available upon your arrival. Transit times will increase with group travel, but will save costs on your individual trip. For best service, we would suggest making a reservation prior to arrival. For your return trip to the airport, please stop by the Concierge Desk and they will be happy to make a reservation for you.   BART (subway-travel) is also readily available from either SFO or OAK. See  www.bart.gov  for further transit details.

The attire for LiNC '16 is business casual. Welcome Reception Attire: Casual. You must be at least 21 years of age to attend this event, valid ID required upon entry. LiNC Bash and Lithy Awards Ball:  There is no official dress code—it’s come as you like. However, as this is a celebratory night, you’re likely to see some Lithium folks in cocktail dresses, blazers and suits. Don’t forget that the evenings get chilly in the City by the Bay, and there will be an outdoor terrace to enjoy, so bring a shawl or jacket as needed.   Also, we recommend comfortable walking shoes if you plan to do any sightseeing. Conference and meeting rooms at the hotel can be slightly cool as well. Please contact us should you have any questions about the weather or attire.
