Welcome to the Lithium Community! The mission of this online community is to provide a peer-to-peer and direct support channel for people cultivating enterprise communities on the Lithium platform. It is a central for education and thought leadership on best practices, where we also ideate with customers directly on how to improve and extend the product platform.   Enterprise communities are created by business organizations for their customers, partners or other enthusiasts. While our community is aimed at Lithium customers and users, we welcome everyone with an interest in enterprise communities, as long as you observe these community rules:   1. Be respectful. Respect people's time and attention by asking well-thought-out questions and sharing what you've learned so far in your experimentation or prior research. Respect people as individuals by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive.   2. Be relevant. Make sure your contributions are relevant to the mission of the community, to the specific discussion style and topic where you post. Please do not post duplicate messages in different areas of the community to avoid fragmenting discussion. If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation. Solicitations are rarely relevant. If you have something you want members to join, participate in, or buy, ask us first.   3. Keep your word. Don't post anything that would violate any contractual agreements (copyright, trade secret or otherwise) or nondisclosure agreements to which you are a party.   4. Protect privacy - yours and others'. Don't share anything about yourself or your organization that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Share your business email address if you wish, but don't post personal information-your own or anyone else's-including contact information or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author's consent.   5. Remember, this is user-generated content. You'll find plenty of good advice here, but remember that your situation, configuration, or implementation may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution. Some advice you find here may even be wrong. Apply the same good judgment here that you would apply to information anywhere on the Internet.   By using these forums you agree to follow these rules as well as the full Terms of Service for the Lithium Community. We thank you, and your fellow community members thank you.   The Lithium Logo and Lithium Employees You will notice that some community members have a Lithium logo next to their names - this means they are Lithium employees. Like you, they are members of the community around Lithium products, and we encourage them to share their knowledge and opinions here.   Feedback & Ideas We want this to be the best community it can possibly be - so let us know what you think, or how we can help improve your experience on the Lithium Community by visiting our suggestions forum.   We know you have tons of ideas for improving the Lithium platform, products and services; If you are a customer or partner, be sure to visit customer ideas to submit new feature enhancements requests, or support existing ones. Don't forget to review our idea submission guidelines before posting!   If you have questions for Lithium that cannot be discussed in the community, please contact: your CSM or Account Executive (if you are a Lithium customer) a Sales Representative by Requesting a Demo (if you're not) email us at communityhelp@lithium.com   We will be happy to help!   Flag inappropriate content for review If you recognize any violation of these guidelines, please notify us within the community by choosing "Report Inappropriate Content" from the message's Options menu and let us know why you feel the content is inappropriate. If you have any questions about our guidelines, terms, or policies, let us know.

There’s an amazing team working on the front lines and behind the scenes of the Lithium Community to provide its members with all the tools and solutions they need to be successful.  You can find out more about some of the core team members below.   There are many more who actively assist on the community on a day to day basis, and we'll be adding to this list over time. Feel free to reach out to any of them any time you have questions, suggestions or just want to say hi!   AndyK Community Manager When he first joined Lithium in 2008, he was the first person not based in North America working with the company (he is based in Edinburgh, UK).   In his spare time he is a gamer, reader, sports fan and (when not injured) enjoys squash, cycling, climbing and hiking. Kellysull Marketing Programs Specialist Kelly is Lithium’s Marketing Programs Specialist. Her focus is to strategically build out promotional plans for all corporate marketing events. Kelly was first introduced to Lithium when she was a community manager at SuccessFactors. She loved working with Lithium so much, she immediately pursued Lithium’s network to get her foot in the door. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, writing for pleasure, and being outdoors. PhilippeM Director, Global Support Customer's are the reason that I am here - I love hearing from people on the good as well as the bad so we can make the experience you have better! Outside of work, I spend time with my family (wife & 16 year old), play video games and enjoy volleyball (beach or indoor) although I haven't played since tearing my ACL. KathyH Team Lead, Post-Project Services Kathy comes from Texas, where she lives the nice, quiet rural life by herself.  She started with Lithium five years ago and couldn't imagine ever working for another company.  After starting as a moderator, she's worked her way up to Team Lead, a job she loves as she's been involved in such positions since the internet was a thing, working for various gaming forums and companies before joining Lithium. In her spare time she loves any kind of crafting, and has a serious yarn addiction (she promises, just a few more skeins...).  She also loves movies, especially sci-fi and superhero, and is proud to be a Marvel fangirl (although there is a bit of room for DC in there too ha!). AndrisG Moderator & Administrator Andris comes from a small and maybe not so well known Baltic country, and so far seems to be the only person in the team who speaks Latvian. Having experience as a volunteer administrator at some game communities, he joined Lithium in December 2015 as a moderator and can't imagine any better job to do for a living!&   In his spare time, he loves to play games, ride a bicycle and and travel - wherever the network connection exists.   ValeriaC Moderator & Administrator Valeria comes from a small city in the South of Italy, but lived abroad for the last 12 years, spending some years in Spain, Greece, and finally landing in the USA. Joined Lithium in 2013 as a moderator for several communities, new addition to the Lithium Community Team. She loves traveling, learning new languages, literature and animals (especially cats). @grille_chompa ClaudiusH Best Practice Center Lead Claudius helps to distill strategies and tactics that are making communities successful and make them available to Lithium  customers through the Best Practice Center. And he loves tinkering with the Lithium Community to ensure it's a showcase of what the Lithium community platform has to offer. Previously he used to be a customer and running the Skype Community for 5 years and a super user here on the Community. StevenT Technical Support Team Lead EMEA I first started working for Lithium as a Community Moderator back in 2013 and moved on into a support role in 2016. Since then I have not been afraid to get my hands dirty with anything the customer requests. I am currently a Team Lead for the EMEA support team and love my position. The best part of my day is working with great customers and awesome members of the team! In my spare time I like to watch movies (main aim is to not fall asleep after 5 minutes) and spend time with my family (wife and 3 children) and explore in the English countryside. JohnD Doc Dude John has been in the documentation and content strategy game for over 20 years, since WYSIWYG was a new buzzword. But that's just his day job. He's lived in the San Francisco Bay Area all his life, have been married for 24 years, and has 3 sons.    He is also a huge music fan (with a CD rack with over 2000 CDs and a huge digital library of awesome, rare bootlegs). In his free time he attends  A LOT of concerts. He's also a bit of an amateur chef, often baking homemade cookies, waffles, and other treats for the office. SusanH Senior Tech Writer Suzie has been at Lithium since May 2013. She focuses on the developer documentation across our platform, as well as Studio documentation. You'll find her logged in on the Developer Network on most days helping troubleshoot and guide community members to the information they need.   She is a Bay Area native, and spent a few years up in Eugene, Oregon. If you ask her, she'll tell you that being outdoors, climbing on rocks, and yoga make life worth living. @cothrel JoeC Chief Community Officer Joe is Lithium's Chief Community Officer. An expert in business-oriented online communities, he's helped more than 300 companies create successful communities.

For our community’s 6th anniversary, we released a new profile hover card that allows you to quickly glimpse at community members’  levels of contribution and expertise by mousing over any username, anywhere across the community. Note:   Profile Cards are not supported on Responsive.   The top portion of the hover card can be personalized with your own background image by following these steps: Hover over your username in the top right user menu and navigate to Settings > Social Connect > Profile Card > Community Profile Card Select one of the predefined themes and/or upload your own image Tip #1: You’ll want to make sure that your image is 370 x 68 pixels for the best display results. Tip #2: By default, the rank title color will be white, however it will differ based on the theme you select. For example, if your image has a light background, you may want to select one of the dark text themes prior to uploading your image: Tokyo Madness, Bayfog: White text Splat, Moderntech: Black text Choose which stats you wish to display by selecting the appropriate check boxes next to the stats. Please note that Posts and Registered date will display by default. Click Save Refresh the page and mouse over your username under Preview to view how your profile hover card displays (it may take a few seconds to display the first time)     Voila! We hope you enjoy personalizing your visual identity. Let us know if you have any questions by leaving comments below, or contacting us: communityhelp@lithium.com. Note: As of 17.3, communities using a responsive skin can no longer change the background image of the Profile Plus hover card. This setting has been removed,   since   the new message view in Responsive Peak does not have the traditional side column where the user information is displayed. This column was where the profile card would appear (when enabled).

Your  ideas  are important to us and we take every one seriously.  Before you get started, make sure you review the following.   Submission guidelines   Remember that Search field.  Don’t forget to search the community before submitting a new  idea . We’d hate for you to waste your time writing something up that has already been submitted or already has an answer.   Draft your idea.  To help the community really understand what you’re suggesting, try to put the  idea  in the form of user stories and be sure to include your rationale and an  idea  of customer value. The more we know about your  idea  – who it’s for, what the motivation is, and what the actual item is, the more accurate we’ll be when it comes time to prioritize and size it.   Consider using the following user story format:   As a (role) I want (something) so that (benefit).   Some things to include:          The Role:  who (what type of user) is the feature for?        The Something:  what is it that the user wants to do – the goal and/or desire?        The Benefit:  why do they need it – what do they need to accomplish? What value do they derive from the feature?        And additional descriptive context, for example…        The category or component your  idea  is about (e.g. blogs, REST API, user authentication, integration, kudos, Social Support, etc.)        Screenshots, pictures, drawings, process diagrams, etc.        Examples of other places or products where you’ve seen the feature or something like it.        A sense of priority or desired timeframe.        If you’re feeling really generous, feel free to write down some acceptance criteria too!   And finally, don’t forget to fulfill your civic duty and VOTE for those items you like and agree with by giving the  idea  a Kudos.   Status Definitions and Process Every  idea  has merit – we’ll endeavor to review each one in a timely manner and put it through the paces to determine community and customer value, viability, and fit with Lithium’s strategic mission in life. Each  idea  will be moved through a disposition lifecycle, described below.   New Idea  – Brand new ideas submitted by you and ready to be voted on. We’ll set each of these ideas on a course to get feedback from the community and a definitive disposition from Lithium's product team.   Acknowledged - Our team has reviewed the idea and has ensured it adheres to our idea submission and community guidelines. This means that it's now in the process of being reviewed more thoroughly to see if and when it will make it onto our product roadmap.   Yes! Stay tuned... – Not only has your idea been vetted by the community and the Lithium product team, but we’ve also slotted a forthcoming release for it. Look for it in the near future!   Available Now - Items with this status are available or achievable in some form in the product today. Sometimes this means you've got the means to achieve the desired outcome right out of the box, and sometimes it means it can be done with minor tweaks or adds via Studio, Admin, or config changes.    Possible Through Customization - Lithium Community is a very flexible, extendable, and customizable platform. There are a lot of suggested ideas we won't have a chance to bake in to the core out-of-the-box product, but they are doable with a bit of extra work on your part. Sometimes you just have to do it yourself (or get some help). The comments provided with this status will clarify how you can get there.   Needs Info – A new idea might need clarification or additional feedback to help us gauge its customer impact. Ideas with this status will be open to the community for votes and constructive comments to help us make a better decision. We’ll give everyone a few weeks to pipe in, before moving the idea forward or providing another resolution.   Not Now  / No – W hile all ideas have merit, sometimes the fit and path forward for the product is not quite right, so we’ll recommend an alternative course or workaround. Perhaps a services engagement, a custom implementation, or a partner will deliver the idea home.   Delivered  – The  idea  has been implemented and delivered to our customers. Look for the release version denoted in the item, and check out the Lithium  release notes  for details on how to start using it.   Archived  - I deas with this status are have not had any community activity in over six months, have gained little traction, or are for features that are phased out and do not have any more enhancements planned. If an idea is archived, feel free to comment on it to help us determine if we want to move it back into another status. Just because an idea is archived, doesn't mean we won't act on it!

We always place customer feedback at the top of our list of priorities and the Lithium Community Product Ideas Exchange is one example of how we capture your innovative ideas and feedback about our solutions.  In order to make this process as productive and transparent as possible, we want to share the general criteria by which we will be evaluating submitted ideas to help guide your submissions.   We will be evaluating your ideas based on the following criteria and giving feedback accordingly. You can expect to receive feedback on your submission from our Product Management team  in the form of status changes and follow up comments.   Submission Criteria Description 1.      Reach of Impact How many customers would benefit? How often would they use the suggested feature? 2.      Roadmap Fit Does this fit strategically within our current product/service offerings? 3.      Community feedback Is this idea getting noticed (via recent votes/comments/kudos)? Does the idea have at least 5 votes? 4.      Feasibility How long will it take to implement the idea? Is there a workaround available today? 5.      Quality of submission Is the submission well written and easy to understand? Does it contain no more than one idea? 6.      Uniqueness Is this a new idea or something that has been submitted already?   We encourage you to submit your ideas to us to help us continually innovate and make the Lithium platform better for all of our customers.   Be sure to search the community for existing ideas that may be similar to yours and review our submission guidelines prior to submitting your own. If indeed you do find similar ideas, we encourage to comment or vote on those rather than submitting a new one.
