Our friend Becky Carroll, social blogger, author of 'The Hidden Power of your Customers', and formerly a strategist/community manager at Verizon Residential, attended LiNC 2012 earlier this month and wrote this great blog summary.
We spotted this LiNC-related post by Lily Wong, the community manager at Polycom. You'd know her as Polylily on the Lithosphere. We wanted to share it. Let us know if you have a LiNC post on your thoughts post-event! Thanks Lily!!
Here's a question for the ages. How do you justify what you're doing in social media? We're way past the point of mumbling and stuttering our way through ROI. Yet, as strategists, we're collectively way behind.
LiNC is behind us. A blurry memory of a phenomenal event. 500+ customers, partners and influencers, taking up two full floors of the InterCon in San Francisco, keynotes from customers, industry leaders and our own teams. Things have come a long way. Wow.
The exultant cry of “We did it!” rang through the hallways of the San Francisco Intercontinental Hotel on May 11, the last day of LiNC, our annual customer conference. The cry came from almost 40 community managers from around the world who successfully completed the requirements for our first Lithium Community Manager Certification.
A week ago we were starting LiNC, can you believe it. It was a phenomenal week, over 500 customers, partners, influencers, prospects and friends converging on the Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco. You're going to see a lot more from us over the next week around LiNC coverage, but I wanted to share the finale reel that we shot on Thursday and showed at the close of general session on Friday. Thanks to everyone involved!
