Hug a Community Manager - They deserve it

The fourth Monday of every January is OFFICIALLY Community Manager Appreciation Day - and so it should be, these guys are on the front line of your company's interactions with customers. And it's not an easy job.

This year, take a couple of minutes on Monday 24th Jan to say thanks to your CM.

Buy them a donut, a coffee, tweet them using #cmad, thank them for the amazing things they are doing, or just say hi.

Personally I think we should name it Hug a Community Manager Day, but some depts in corporate may have an issue with that

It's not all thanks though - there are some actual events for all us Community Professionals around the US. If you're close, drop in and have a drink. We'll be at the Silicon Valley party at the Steelhead Brewery in Burlingame on Monday, come join us!

The HP consumer support team will be celebrating (and hugging our global community manager) at a dinner party in the Sierra Foothills.  Sorry we can't join you at the Brewery.  We REALLY appreciate our community managers, so thanks for the reminder.  Has Hallmark caught on to this yet?

Thanks for the comment Lois! Delighted that you'll be recognizing your CMs, sorry you can't join us but knowing you all, you'll all be having a blast!! Maybe we should suggest a special card for Hallmark, wonder if they have an ideation community!!
