Responding to posts via email

I was wondering whether or not there was support for responding to posts via email.  I understand that there is a believe that this could cause visitors to not come to the site to get information and/or see other information, but I think that it could be very useful for our internal people who are monitoring and responding to forum posts.

I hope that this is availalbe and/or would be available  in the future.  And that if it is, it would be great to have the ability to control which users are allowed to do this.

Thanks,

I believe this would be a wonderful thing to post in the Share Your Ideas section!

Please feel free to create an Idea. :smileyhappy:

Pros and cons of reply by email in the community were also discussed in this thread for reference.

ScottD,

Thanks for the thread, it was interesting to read (and I'd figured that it had been discussed elsewhere).  I understand the security reasons and hope that at some point you find a solution around it.

Thanks,

Adam

Hi Adam,

Yes, we have a Reply By Email feature which lets users with permissions respond to posts via a Reply link in email notifications about new posts in a board or conversation the user is subscribed to.  This also work on Mobile.

You can get a personal demo and presentation of our platform by contacting us on the bottom of the contact Lithium page.

Hope this helps :smileyhappy:
