Allow batch processing for images

Status: New Idea
by Valued Contributor on 10-08-2009 08:26 AM

I just had to turn 10 pages worth of images to private in an image gallery since they had been posted to a private forum yet were not marked as private.  There does not appear to be any batch processing available in the image gallery for moderators so I had to check each message individually instead of checking all images at once.  Therefore, it would be great to give an option to "check all images".

The option to check or uncheck all images at once in the user's image gallery is not there in version 8, but it is available now in version 9 of the product.

You can select all images in the Image console in version 8, but you would then have to uncheck the images that are posted by other users. But that still might be easier to do page by page if there are many images posted in the same time period.

I needed to mark all images for a particular user so I was looking at their image gallery and checking the images.  This is a silly question -  I don't think I use the image console so how do I find it for a board? We don't require images to be approved before they are displayed.

@Laura:

The image console is a portal module you can add in Layout Settings > Display Settings in version 8, but you can also get there directly if you have appropriate permissions with the following URL:

It would be really awesome if that image console listed the board that the image was posted in... that would allow me to more easily find the ones that should be marked private.
