Corporate Facebook pages are often a mish-mash of customer questions and complaints, fan enthusiasm and spam. No company can ignore Facebook's enormous audience of half a billion people, but what can you do on Facebook beyond adding some links to your corporate website?

Today we are launching our answer to this question with Lithium Community for Facebook.  It offers true integration of your community - the super-users and the content - with the Facebook interface.  (you can read the full press announcement about Lithium Community for Facebook here)

Visitors to your corporate Facebook page can ask questions, review your products, and discuss your latest marketing campaigns with the super-users on your community without ever leaving your Facebook page. They can search and find all the great user-generated forum discussions, solutions and knowledge base articles from Facebook.

For those of you at our Linc conference, you saw a preview demo of Lithium Community for Facebook. Since then, we had numerous beta customers try it out, and their reactions have been that it is exactly the kind of enterprise app for Facebook they are looking for.  Lithium Community for Facebook allows Facebook users to:

  1. Ask their questions to your community's super-users - your customer questions, problems and issues can be presented to the Community where your super-users will be ready to pounce on them and solve it peer-to-peer. Unlike Facebook profiles, community profiles display the user's reputation and credibility in the conversation.
  2. Browse Community Content - your customers can search your community's best forums, solutions, blogs and knowledge base articles for answers of frequently asked questions, instead of posting it on the Facebook Wall.
  3. Access all the discussions they’ve joined, using their personalized “My Posts” tab on your corporate Facebook page.

And finally, you'll benefit from the Lithium platform's industry-leading analytics, as well as from the traffic that user-generated content drives to their sites through search engines.

The Lithium Community for Facebook is available now. Additional Facebook applications built on this framework will be available later this year.

For all those who are going to ask "What about Lithosphere and Facebook?" We'll be rolling out Community for Facebook shortly, and connecting it with our facebook.com/LithiumTechnologies page so you can try it out for yourselves.

Yumio,

Ok man, were are all excited !  Great to see you rolling out what was demonstrated at LiNC.   I can really see the speed of implementation picking up year to year.    Now, how long before we see the support tab on the Lithium fan page?

I know you are going to want to integrate it with the Lithosphere, right?

Kudos,

Mark

Mark,

Thanks for the comment!  We plan to roll this out to Lithosphere & the tab on Lithium's Facebook page within several days.  And we'll be releasing more apps in the coming months. Thanks again for your continued support!

Loving this guys!  As newcomers to the Lithium platform but with very established communities (turning on Engagement Console today), I am very excited to really leverage the capabilities of your offerings.  Nice Kudos to you in the Gartner conference too I saw ;-)
